Tavor was born in Queens, NY, and then moved to Va around the age of 9. Prior to being at the Lodge, he was in jail. He says he became a product of his environment, and it caught up to him. After the Living Hope program, he hopes to find stability in life, and get rid of his ‘jail belly.’ As far as his art, he’s big on imperfection; a lot of his best pieces show flaws. In his opinion, though we are made in God’s image, we have wickedness in our hearts, so we have flaws.
